Wild Writing

"At the Edge of the Woods: Why Writers Need Wilderness," is an interesting read in light of our earlier discussions this semester about "wildness" and if wild spaces still exist. Also, this time thinking about how this contributes to who we are as writers.

"Living near the woods has reminded me of an intense and strange power of imagination. If I ever stop wondering about the world--if I ever think I know all the secrets of the woods--I should stop writing. Until then, I'll head into the forest, thankful and ready."
